I did two different projects on false memory and child sexual abuse (some of it dealing with reported Satanic Ritual Abuse), most of it based in my country, but it still applies.

I can have a look through my projects if you can give me an idea on what you are looking for specifically. Have a few PDF's on false memory research in general too if thats something you might be interested looking at. Would need an email address though.

There was a famous case from America during the 80's I think with a woman who worked at a kindergarten who was accussed of such crimes by children under her care who claimed she put peanut butter on them to lick it off or would cut them with knives. She was found guilty but later had this overturned (many years later however).

The prosecution used the testimony of children, but it turned out the prosecution in getting statements from the children used leading questions and such, getting the child to agree with them and creating detailed stories of events that never occurred..

This is where the work of the likes of Elizabeth Loftus and many others come in, which found that false memory (particularly) in children is easy to create as they are more willing to agree with adults and can get extremely creative.

So I would say that it is most likely to be false memory in regards to Satanic Ritual Abuse because as far as I recall there has never been a proven case of it ever occurring. But that does not mean we should ignore such matters as child abuse is a very serious matter, but history has proven that we have to be careful in dealing with the testimony of children.

In Britain a lot of formality abuse is finished via superstitious human beings of African descent who have self belief they are excorcising undesirable behaviour from their little ones. it is not any longer Satanism yet they belong to church homes which combine Christianity with classic African witchcraft. there grew to become right into a case of a sprint lady killed via her kinfolk after social workers left out the abuse, thinking it would be 'culturally insensitive' to intervene - the case extra wider public interest to the challenge. you are able to examine the case interior the direction of the link under. there is likewise a nonetheless-unsolved case of an African boy mutilated in a ritual in London. i'd desire to declare i come across the 2nd poster's comments gratuitously offensive - and stupid. As for the folk right here protecting Satanism as a misunderstood and unfairly maligned form of worship (I hardly think of the 'Church of devil' web site is a stable source!), there have been grotesque murders dedicated in Europe recently via Satanists, however the victims weren't little ones.

I don't think recovered memories have validity. The Michelle Remembers case has already been proven a hoax, more or less.

Ironically, it was some quack Psycologists and tabloid journalists that got the whole SRA scare going, and then Christians got the blame for starting it.

I know absolutely nothing about it. From my perspective of ignorance, I would say it sounds like an urban legend to me. Even if one or two psycho hillbilly families are really like that, it's far from being an issue that our whole society should wake up and take notice of. People who oppress and harm others thinking that it will give them power are stupid and they will have to deal with the karma of their negative actions sooner or later in this life or another.

Has it ever been proved to have occurred? Cause you want to make sure your research is based on truth, or are you exploring the possibility that people have imagined such things?

I would let you talk to my friend on answering this question, but we unfortunately have to sacrifice him tonight!

I am just curious what study of research do you need for this topic?
