they r all good in their own unique styles of narrating.

for instance stanley gardner is mostly legal detection..and the loavble charecters of mason and his enviable secratary della..and paul drake the detective..all are such real to life charecters.

christie has a differnt style in each of her creations..like poirot & hastings or miss marple or tommy and tuppence. mystery and suspence well maintained till the last page in every story.

sheldon and irwing wallace are kinda same.both write in a very interesting way with a satrong story line and gripping pace.

arthur hailey has a way of narrating in detail the techinicalities of the subject without boring the reader.

jeffrey archer is one of the interetsing writers of the present day. his recent short story collection ( cat 0 nine tails) is good. his style is good too. gripping iwth a good story line.

and good old james hadley chase.. always a grt read..bcz hw many times we re read the same book ..still its always inetersting as if it were the first time!

Each one has their specialty. It depends on whom you like. I like Irwing Wallace's "Second Lady". It was fantastic!!

Personally I like Sidney Sheldon, because he never bores you. Every page is a turner.

Its really difficult to make a comparision as all the authors mentioned had/have their own specific styles, areas of specialization & moreover as the time span of books written by them extends almost over 75 years, some basic changes in themes are noticed.
However personnally speaking Jeffrey Archer has been my favourite as every book of his has held me spellbound.
