I would like to see that some day, but alas, this shall not pass. He's too much of a straight lace to win. Good men unfortunately doesn't make good Presidents. Nixon was a crook, but looking back he did more for this country than any President for a long time. Kennedy has all the faults of Nixon and CLinton rolled up together, and yet he is rememberd as being a great President too. On the other hand, the most honest man to hold the Presidency, was Carter, and he was the worse President since BEFORE Roosevelt. And for those who complain about W, we shouldn't really compare his Presidency to Carters, since we can't see how the seeds heplanted would come out.

Hillary Clinton is the best for the US President and not Colin Powell.

I certainly do.

I asked this question a while ago (I'm sure I wasn't the first), and I've seen several variations of it since then. The response has been generally positive.

There are a lot of people out there, Republican, Democrat, and Independent, who would love to see him run. Unfortunately, I believe it's a lost cause. He's certainly the best man for the job, and I would give one of my toes to see him as President, but he's just too kind, too honest, and too intelligent to run.

God bless that man. We don't deserve him, but we need him.

Colin Powell was amazing, what a Leader ! You should have let him persue the enemy when he wanted to and was able to, but his hands were tied wern't they ! Also I did hear that when he was Commander in Chief that America wasn't ready for a black President, what a shame that was !

I sincerely think that C. Powell want's NOTHING to do with politics. He saw enough of it- to quit while he was ahead. And if HE didn't, his WIFE certainly doesn't want him to run. The sad truth IS, good men shy away from High Office. You have to be a little bit of a scoundrel to want to play among knaves & blackguards. And Powell is none of those.
