No. Original they planned to due 9. 4-5-6-1-2-3-7-8-9 (3 sets of 3 movies) there are scripts for them take from the last 3 books. However G. Lucas said after filming the last Star Wars movie he was not going to produce another one. The actors are to old. Harrison Ford,Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher. With out Lucas to direct it they will not make them. He own's the rights to them.
I think 6 Star Wars movies is enough. You might get Lucas to make short movies filling in the Blanks between the movies. I would be there for that.

FROM ALL THE RUMORS I'VE HEARD....
They were planning on making 3 more movies, to continue the story as it happens from the end of Return of the Jedi. Luke goes on to found a new Jedi Academy, Han and Leia get married and have twin children, who are also strong in the Force, and so on and so forth yadayadayada....
But I do not know if this will happen or not - the plan was to complete a third trilogy (3 sets of 3 - how original...) but no one has confirmed anything yet.

I'd be there for sure. I heard a while back that Lucas had originally planned to make a 7, 8, 9 series too. There are already novels written with a whole story lined up. I think it'd be pretty cool.

NO. I hated the first two new ones, couldn't even bring myself to watch the last one. The stories were sappy and predictable, and the actors were the worst cases of miscasting I've seen in ages. The original three were great; let the story rest in peace.

i always heard that he had only planned to make 6 from the very beginning, but didn't know if the first released one (#4) would be the very first or if he would make three that came before it. i suppose it's possible for there to be more, and that would be really cool, but it's kind of unlikely.

Yeah I agree I think they should remake them all since we can digitize them and stuff it'd be way cool! Really funky and just cool graphics and animation and all stuff like that so yes they should!

If George Lucas makes one more Star Wars film I am going to kill myself. He lost it after "Jedi".
