How about Hip Hop and Salsa? My group dance a combination of these.

But will it create a beautiful dance? It depends on the music.

For example, with regards to purely salsa music and dance it hip hop with salsa... you'll look awkward in it.

With reggaeton music, dance it with salsa without the perreo is likewise awkward. But then, revise the salsa steps and groove the body in hiphop motion, then that is really cool.

So, the cue to make the dance beautiful is to make it groove according to the rhythm of the music. That is real cool!

Because it is always neat to see a smooth transition of one style to another. This trick is one of the favorites for those who create dance performances. The idea is, anyone can be trained to dance any particular dance. But can you link them smoothly in one performance, preferrably without changing the music? That really shows if you know your stuff or just memorized the moves.
