The horizontal scar came from exploratory surgery in Nov. 1995. The c-section was in Nov. 2004. Ab workouts like crunches or activities like bike riding cause my abdomen to feel like it's pulsing (like my whole body can shake). Lower abs really really painful!!..pain can last a couple days!

Have you gone back to doctor or told the doctor? I have had multiple c-sections. I developed adhesion's (when the tissue grows inside while healing and sticks to the inner walls or other organs). I had to have them removed surgically 5 times. The main reason, I started trying to workout and work to quickly after surgery. They are probably adhesion's pulling. Its like sticking super glue to you fingers, think of it that way. Your description sounds oh so familiar! Go see the doctor!

You may have a buildup of scar tissue that is causing the problem from either scar. The scars should not still be tender since so long since dates of surgery. I have a suggestion..I had same problem playing softball after having a vertical c-section scar also. My doctor recommended that I purchase a panty girdle and wear while exercising to give the ab muscles more support. It worked- best advice he could have gave me.

you should seek medical attention. normally after surgery and c sections like that, you are advised to slow down on all aerobics. even though it's been some years since the surgery and c section it can still be painful. your scars meet at an unusual point so yes you'd have to expect some kind of pain, but to the point where it makes your body go into convulsions....that doesn't sound good. best of luck and health to you.

I would first tell your doctor about this issue to make sure your don't have any hernias. Then you should speak with a good personal trainer to get you on a program to obtain your physical goals withour causing any undo pain. good luck
