Look in the big and tall sections of the clothing places, and all.
You could search for stores around your area that sell your size clothing. Mm, not sure where you'd do that (I've done it before but I can't remember how!!)
The easiest way, I think, would be to buy your clothes online. There is a Much wider array of clothing. The only drawbacks are you can't physically check out the clothes and shipping and handling (so annoying, that). Still. I do know there are many clothing sites that cater to crossdressing (for the different sizings, and it's more comfortable).

Mostly, just have fun!! Don't let narrowminded people get you down. Wear what you want. :)

Go to the Value Village or any other second hand store! You can buy almost anything there and you can even try the stuff on because they have change rooms. If you don't want people to see what you are trying on then just hide the stuff in amongst some guys clothing and carry them into the change room that way! I am not into cross dressing in any way shape or form but I have done drag at Halloween once or twice since I came 'out' and that is where I went to by my stuff. The think I found most difficult to find in a big enough size were the shoes - high heals! I don't really even have a very big foot - size 8 and a half or 9 in men's. Anyway hope this is helpful.

You're in Dayton, OH and you can't find any other crossdressers in that town! How?!?! The transgender community is very present in Ohio, trust me. As for buying clothing, just walk into a store and buy stuff. If you don't feel safe there come up the road to Columbus. It's VERY accepting and tolerant city. It's a little bit of a drive, but there is the crystal club in Columbus that is a group of crossdressers and some transwomen. I've ran into them before bar hopping one night and they're an interesting bunch to hang out with. If you get lucky HawkOhio might share his age old wisdom of Ohio LGBT groups too :)

Why do you have a hard time finding things?
Are you outside the "normal" female size? Check out the JC Penney catalog. They have a "tall" section. There are a couple of chains that specialise in taller and larger women and you can probably find clothes that fit there. Also, Penneys on-line (and other clothes sites) have size charts so you can match your measurements with the clothes.
Or are you just nervous about shopping? You probably can't get stuff mailed to your home, so you'll just have to remember that the people in the shop are paid to help you. Believe me, they've seen it all before. When I was in retail I had guys come in and buy women's clothes that were clearly for them. When I worked at a MAC counter I had guys ask about makeovers.
Find a shop that's not crowded, and when the woman asks you "can I help you" tell her what you want. If you want to tell her a story ("it's for my twin sister who just happens to be my size. I know, because she wears my clothes") go ahead, but she'll probably know anyway.

Your best bet is second hand or thrift stores. They are cheap and usually have a decent selection. If you buy something that doesn't fit you will only be out a couple bucks. Try to stay away from th crossdressing sites, they tend to overcharge, and the quality is not very good. Also ebay is a great place to get things.

i used to go to second hand stores to find what i was looking for until one day i got the guts to walk into a store buy the clothes and say there for my sister ( i do not have a sister)
then after a while i could say i had a partner that ran out on me and i have to pay for it
or to now i just buy it if they look at me weird i just say what can't a guy wear a dress or some thing like a joke then they never ask again

My new BF is a CD. We went to San Francisco to find clothes for him but came up empty handed. There is a place in Reno, NV called Romantic Sensations that caters to "Queens". Larger, hard to find sizes, especially shoes and heels.
Phone # 775-322-1884
Call or look them up on line. Have fun!

check the big and tall stores for women. Check online for shoe stores...Payless goes up to size 13 for women. There are also costume stores and in this day and age I'm sure you'll find a store online for crossdressers

I'm a TG in Ohio (Canton area) and I shop at all kinds of women's stores. Most will be happy to help you and will even let you try on clothes. Just ask.

Without playing games, don’t be available 100% of the time or let your life be an open book. A man that comes on too strong or doesn’t have outside interests will scare a woman away just as much as it would if the circumstances were reversed. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?atyC
Women don’t want to feel as though they are completely responsible for your happiness and that is what it feels like when the other person has no outside interests. Men who are overeager or jump when the woman says jump are the ones who are more likely to end up in the friend zone. This doesn’t mean that you should play the game of not calling for a few days; it means that you should set healthy boundaries until you both naturally find a spot for the other in your lives.
