why people hate hsm. you guys just make a big deal that you hate it well too bad now it`s number 1 in the world

nobody hates high school musical.. it's cute... has great music in it...

First of all I'd like to point out that in general most (NOT ALL) but most musicals and even a fair amount of operas (especially the comedies) in plot are quite unrealistic. As far as the acting goes, well anyone who grew up watching Disney could easily see that there has certainly been a decline in the overall quality of the shows. Sadly this show probably one of the better Disney productions in the past few years. Overall their animated films are practically the only major consistently quality productions with a few others thrown in the mix.

I DESPISE high school musical because not only is it painfully cheesy, but I've been forced to watch it somewhere in the neighborhood of thirty times by every single twelve-year-old I know. Go ahead and like whatever idiotic, unrealistic movie that isn't a real musical that you want to, just keep it to yourself already!
And um, too bad that it's not number one in the world...

Honey, if you had to watch it as many times as I have had, (worked in a daycare, and on friday/movie day, some girl would ALWAYS bring it in), you'd hate it as much as I do.

cuz it is soooo fake and annoying...anyone else notice that in the movie HIGH SCHOOL MUUUUUSSSSIIIICCCCAAALLLLL, they NEVER EVEN HAVE A MUSICAL? that is the reason i hate it
