Of course it is worth a dime. Maybe even a quarter. For crying out loud...
ANY progress of the sport ANYWHERE is just fantastic. Soccer is growing in the U.S. and we've got a good league going on that will hopefully become better in the future. Why throw it away, just because we're not as good YET? We had to start somewhere, and so we've gotten started. We're just starting out, and we still need a lot of time to progress and become better and stronger.

I believe that US Soccer isn't at the level they think it is specially the MLS,if you were to compare it to a English League it would be about the same as the Football League Two or maybe a little lower.
The only team I like from the MLS is the L.A. Galaxy.
United Soccer Leagues should be US #1 League because they are the oldest League that's still around they have the 1st Division,2nd Division and the 3rd Division (PDL).MLS has only been around for 10 years and its going for its 11th season, but the United Soccer Leagues has been here for over 20 years.
Most of the players that MLS has, played in the United Soccer Leagues specially in the PDL that's were the MLS gets all its Reserve players from.

Well, MLS is doing something that no other soccer league does. MLS has actually put a salary cap to the league and pleayers aren't paid astronomically like they do in Europe. I will give them credit for trying because soccer is looking more and more like a rich man's game. Traditional powerhoues like Man U, Chelsea, Braca, Madrid all have the buying power to literally buy up the entire MLS, and these are the teams that we learn to love (or hate). It just isn't a fair game. Although we should give thier managers credit by spending wisely for thier players, there is simply no way we compare any of these teams to the ones in MLS. Soccer has not been popular on US soil, therefore there is a shortage of talent. On top of that, MLS and American soccer in general is run in a very American system (college turn pro), so they are bound to be weaker than countries like Brazil and Argentina where kids play soccer looking it as a way out. ( Much like the kids in the gehttos playing Basketball) Even in rich countries in Europe, young talents are scouted and get develope very early by clubs, Theo Walcot is a good example. MLS is boring, but it is a mini evolution, and it is trying what it can to catch up with the rest of the world. Give them credit for getting Beckham.

Yes, U.S. soccer is miserable!
That's why the U.S couldn't even win against Ghana at the World Cup!
and Ghana is much better than US
and in the game between Ghana and Brazil in the 16-round, the dangerous chances were much more on Ghana!
only because the shot accuracy of Ghana players, they can't score!
Next, U.S soccer fetched Beckam recently!
Beckam isn't good but penalty shot!
Have you ever seen Beckam scoring like Ronaldo or Zidane nicely?
No, I haven't seen!
I doubt his talent!
Though, his asset is most among the footballers
because of this fact, I hate him!
and he's 34 years old!
This shows that the viewpoint of football managers of US is so bad!
This is shame!
US brags their superiority in politics, economy and military and so on!
I hate US, and Bush!
Bush is a fool , everyone ,even though 5-yrs children are aware of it!

The US team tied Italy. Yes I know it was an own goal, I watched it. US Striker Brian McBride watched it also. he could have touched the ball, after it hit Zaccardo, But he didn't have to touch it. Smart Play!
There were so many Italians back pedaling the whole tournament I'm surprised there weren't more Italian Own Goals. Also let's not forget that US was a man down on questionable cards.
of course the MLS is not Champions league. many US starters play in Europe. I think the key right now for US is to get a coach with UEFA experience.

actually us soccer is a lot better than u think. The all-stars beat chelsea and the us lost to ghana because of a bad call that was called a foul in the box. On top of that, most of the players on the us squad play in europe. The us just beat mexico without their best players including their incoming new talent brian ching and frddy adu. The difference is that most of the world oly has one sort while america has a myriad of sports that the youth enter Speaking of the youth, we have one of the best youth programs in the world and i think our under23 team jsut beat argentina or some other country i cant remember

Hey Frank Lampard,
If American Football is boring, why is the Super Bowl broadcast in many coutries around the world? Any American Football player will kick yours or any any football players a55. You obviously know nothing about American Football. They lift weights all the time unlike like your skinny a55.
West Ham sucks. Too bad they lost Frank Lampard you wanker, you'll never be him. Stop using his name. You're a poser!

Soccer is a game for sissies and pansies.
See how they fall down and groan in pain at the slightest bump?
See how they stand around the goals clutching their crutches?
Bunch of wimps.
Aussie Rules Football, now there's REAL football for you.
I pray that I never see soccer on US television.
It is not a sport, it's a disease of the psyche.
Cheers
