why hot dog buns come in packs of 8 when there are 10 hot dogs in a pack?

Actually most hot dogs come in 8 packs now,at least the ones I buy do :)

Strange, here in South Africa they got it right. Hot dogs come in 6's or 12's, and so do the buns.
