You have some great choices for September in zone 7. If your color scheme is blue, think of asters, blue salvias (like Indigo Spires), caryopteris, the new long-blooming hydrangeas (like Endless Summer) and ageratum. You can get red/pink blooms on cleome, chrysanthemums, zinnias, impatiens, pineapple sage, cockscomb, dahlias, autumn crocus, anemone 'September Charm' or 'Bressingham Glow,' and roses. Most of these are also available in whites & ivories. And for yellow/orange shades, try zinnias, sunflowers, marigolds, chrysanthemums, and pot marigolds.

Congratulations on thinking so far ahead. Have a great gardening summer and a beautiful wedding celebration.

in case you p.c. to purpose bulbs, look at Tulips, Dutch Iris, Bearded Iris, Muscari (grape hyacinth). Tulips and Daffodils would could be refrigerated for 6-8 weeks in case you're in zone 8, yet no longer for zone 7. given which you look 'on the border' between the two, i'd ask at an area nursery...you're probable ok planting as is. Annuals that's beneficial to purpose contain snapdragons, candy peas, pansies, poppies, dianthus (pinks-related to carnations). Roses enhance ok in pots in case you utilize a large (sixteen"+) pot. in case you p.c. to order bulbs or seeds, accomplish that in the present day as many providers provide up sending out seeds, bulbs and roses it sluggish in previous due October.

asters, chrysanthemums, lisianthus(eustoma), snapdragons, chelone(turtlehead), tuberose, carnations, some zinnias, some roses, echinacea, delphinium may rebloom in fall if deadheaded after first blooming. many others will continue blooming into the fall if you started them later and have kept them regularily deadheaded or cut back.ie:dahlias
