Yes... sometimes when it's night and I have my blinker on, the little arrow inside my car that blinks reflects off of my window, and that just confuses the hell out of me. Not to mention when I'm just sitting at my computer and turn around really sharply, thinking I see something, only to not see anything.

It doesn't really happen to me in the way that you described. However, I get migraine headaches now and then, and the headaches are always preceded by visual disturbances called "scintillating scotomas." Sometimes they're in the center of my vision, but other times they're off to the side, in my peripheral vision. And THAT is very weird and distracting, let me tell you! :O

I thought that happened to everyone. Your peripheral vision only allows you to notice SOMETHING is there, your brain fills in the blanks.
Also,
If you hear a noise, turn around, and no-one is there, it won't be me.

Gosh, that happens to me ALL the time.
I went to my eye doctor, cause it was really bothering me. He said I have "floaters" and that is what was causing me "to see things" that are really not there.
What a relief.
Old age is, well, the pits.
