As much as I want a democrat in the oval office, I hate to admit that either Obama or Hillary will fail because mainstream America is not ready for a black man or a woman. It seems there are no formidable opponents to heavyweights like Giuliani or McCain... What are your thoughts?!?!

if you look at it... the last few elections, Bush has carried the south, and that's the main reason he has won... if he would have lost one or two southern states, he couldn't have won...

but the thing is... Obama and Hillary can't win southern states... I don't think... and that's the real issue here...

I think edwards possibly could get a few states, especially against a Rudy, with his liberal social values...

if we can put a few southern states into play, I don't think the Republicans can make up the difference...

I hope there will be someone to stand out before the election. I have heard on TV (Poker After Dark) on NBC that Obama is a atheist. Look what happen to Kerry, he was ahead in polls, during the debate they discussed abortion , and it went downhill for Kerry after that. I am from North Carolina and would support John Edwards, but look where he got his money, suing the big companies. He was a injury lawyer that represented people that were suing giant corporations and he won. I wonder how many lobbyist they have working against him. O yeah, there was a picture of his 28,000 sq foot home in the paper last week.He would be as honest as we could get but some feel he did not spend enough time in office before he ran with Kerry for vice president. For half his term he was campaigning and we had no one representing us in Washington. I wonder if Gore will run, he already beat Bush one time. Since Bush's brother isn't governor of Florida now we may be able to get a honest count from that little peninsula. Thats it, I'm going with AL GORE!!!

There have been lots of minorities elected to many public offices over the years. I do not think that will be an issue. I think Senator Obama has a better chance on the issues.

Yeah. If Obama and Hillary lose, it MUST be because they're "minorities". That's it. Give mainstream America a LITTLE credit!

Take a look at John Edwards. He is my first choice and I think he will get the nomination.
