who and how do I complain on a CPA or a tax service provider not doing his job but charging in advance for his service. now when asked to fulfill his job, he is not answering the phone calls, nor responding to the emails.
He has all my company information, and also does my company payroll.
I would like to change him but do not know how to proceed with that.
Can any one help.
I did write to BBB

Go to their door. MAKE them talk to you. Find out what is going on. It is understandable that they may be a little behind schedule, but they should be able to give you a date that you can expect the work done by.

If they don't satisfy you then ask for your money back and look in the phone directory or ask your friends if they know of a good accountant.

If he's a CPA, you can contact the society of CPA accountants.
There is a code of ethics that they must adhere to and follow.

Get the records back first than change accountants.
He could just be busy issuing all the required forms (T4's) etc as there are deadlines involved.
People that owe taxes usually get priority so as to avoid penalties.
People getting money back is less pressing as refunds earn interest also.

If he/she is a CPA I would try to contact your state board of accountancy and file a complaint.

Tax season (January through April) is a very busy time for tax professionals, but he/she should have answered the phone or replied to your email.

If you want to change accountants I would go to his/her office and request all my company information, etc. and take it to someone else.

Do you owe them money for services they have provided? Sometimes they may hold your information until you pay your bill.

I work as a staff accountant for a CPA firm and we bill our clients after we complete the work.

How much of the date do girls expect the guys to pay? I have gone on a few dates and she always wants to pay. I do not mind paying but then when we get to the movies she wants to pay as well. I might let her buy some popcorn but then she likes to sprinkls stuff on it that tastes wierd. When we get to the bowling alley he wants to be the one who takes off and puts on her shows? I guess us guys will never get you girls. Ha Ha
