It's dangerous physically, In countries where very young girls give birth regularly there is a higher rate of maternal fatality.
But even if all goes well the responsibility of raising a child is a very big deal. I was 30 when I had my first child and even at that age, with a good job and a supportive husband it was sometimes quite difficult when the kids were younger. As wonderful as it is to have children, it also means you give away part of your life for the child. It's extremely expensive, too.
Wait until you're older, and ideally wait until you have a life partner. I'm not saying single people should never have children- I'm saying it really helps to have someone help you raise your kids.

She may not die, but she will definitely do permanent damage to her reproductive organs, which may cause her to never be able to have children later on. Wow!! 13 years old. I wasn't even having a period at 13 years old. How does she know she is pregnant. A girl this young can be very irregular. She needs to talk to her parents, so they can terminate, while there is still time. She might be scared, but she will be even more scared in 8 months, when she has to go through having a baby. It's no picnic. I've done it 3 times.

A 13 year old girl can survive giving birth. However, the whole pregnancy would have to be closely monitored as well as the birth. Not only is the 13 year old not doing growing herself, she is now having another person grow inside of her.

Yes, however (despite what some people have written here) it would be a *very* high risk pregnancy and delivery.
Adolescents face considerable health risks during pregnancy and childbirth because their bodies are not yet mature. To be stark about it, statistically speaking, girls under 15 giving birth are 5 to 6 times more likely to die in childbirth than a women in her 20's. The babies born to adolescents are also prone to substantially higher mortality rates than infants born to women in their twenties.
Doctors and midwives need to give very special attention to pregnant adolescents. Don't be fooled into thinking just because a girl has her periods she is all set to go reproductively speaking. A human female still has a lot of phyical maturation to complete before the process of pregnancy and childbirth becomes relatively safe.

Definitely, a normal healthy girl/woman with a normal pregnancy is physically mature enough to give birth when her body is mature enough to ovulate and have periods. The female reproductive organs capacity to enlarge to accomodate the baby, open itself to give birth, and then return to normal size, is amazing.
However, a 13-year old girl is usually not MENTALLY ready for the 24/7 intensity required to properly care for a baby. A baby requires 24/7 care and attention for a long time, no matter if you are bored, want to go out, want to have fun, are ill, tired, etc. That baby still needs care and its very hard for a teenager to be able to adequately meet the constant physical, emotional, and mental needs of a baby day after day, month after month, 24/7. It is hard for a teenager to deal with the stress of a baby that is crying a lot (and the only way a baby has to communicate its needs is first by body and eye language, and then by crying.) If a teenager happens to have a baby who cries for long periods of time, (colic being a common reason for a baby to cry and cry for long periods of time), too often that young mother just doesn't have the mental maturity and self-control to patiently deal with the stress of the crying baby and trying to comfort the baby.
So while the odds of physical complications of pregnancy and birth are low in any normal healthy girl thats mature enough to conceive, the odds are against the likelihood that the girl can MENTALLY and EMOTIONALLY cope with the 24/7 constant demands of an infant. That's why its better to wait to have a child until you're older.
A girl goes through MANY mental and emotional changes during the teenage years. The guy you love one year, you may think is intolerable the next year.
Its a strange fact of nature that in people and most mammals, young males and females are physically mature enough to have sex and produce offspring before they are mentally mature enough to raise those offspring well. Many animals lose their first litters for that very reason, they conceive and bear young because the body is ready, but lose the babies because of lack of mental maturity and inexperience.

did you know girls in the 1800s got married when they were 12 or 13 years old.my own great grandmother got married at 13. she managed to have a child at 13. and 12 more in the years to follow. all healthy. when a girl starts her period she is old enough to get pregnant and carry a child full term. she can give birth without assistance. and have a healthy normal child. social standards change through time. what was good and legal then is no longer. so the answer to your question is yes.

I dont see why not, I have heard of girls that young having babies. I personally think a 13 year old is way too young to have a baby, they are still babies themselfs. And if you are talking about yourself then I would really wait because they are a hand ful. I am 23 and my daughter is 3 and she is something else. Good Luck and God Bless!

Well my friend is 14 and she has a 3 year old and an 8 month old...so I guess you can survive it...but I surely don't suggest it. I mean, sure, they are the cutest kids you could ever see...but I really feel bad for them.
