When people say they are, "open minded" do you think....?

they are sincere, or are they trying to convince themselves? I find that most people are trying to convince themselves because their actions or statements usually do not reflect an "open mind" - what about you?

They are open minded by word of mouth only.. only their mouth is open all the time LOL

I feel some people are trying to convince themselves. You can usually tell by the way they say it and how they look when they do. It isn't always easy to open up and accept new things my friend.

introverts have a way of showing that they are like ex smoker when it comes to think extroverted like out side the box
when approached with 94% normal people who have lodged the world squarely in the mud and wallow in it~we 3% on either end keep out mouth shut so we don't rock the boat

some are and some are not. it means they are open for suggestions. I like to think of myself as open minded. i hear a new idea and am glad that i can learn from someone else but am just a tad bit jealous i did not think of it myself.

Nah I never believe that one. Like those sayings think outside the box. What they do is actually thinking outside a smaller box but still inside a bigger box ! Might as well be shallow, like me.

I'm usually open minded.

My imaginary friend lives in there. I can hear him screaming:

"LET ME OUT, LET ME OUT, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. It's terrible in here, there's nothing in here but me."

So I let him out once in a while for a breath of fresh air.

I think most people fake being one thing or another, and it's usually the thing they stake the biggest claim to.
