That's all great and fine, I loved the rant about being considered a legend or whatever, but this dude is just looking to win a fantasy league...not establish A-Rod's legacy.

You've got to take A-Rod on this one. Of those guys who offers the most consistent production across all five major categories. Vlady is the only other one who comes close, but he plays a prime position where there is plenty of depth. Take A-Rod and bank on him having a monster year and then opting out and returning to SS next season with the Angels or Cubs!!

Here is how I look at it. You are losing Street to get the upgrade from ARam to Arod. Abreu and Vlad is fairly even, each with their advantages. Abreu will get you more steals and runs, Vlad will get you more home runs and RBI. Depending on how much you needs saves will determine the better end of this deal. Street had issues staying healthy last year so I would probably steer clear of him if you have another closer worth anything.

Close call on this one...

ARod and Abreu will have a potent Yankee lineup to produce in front and behind them, so they will put up BIG numbers.

Vlad doesnt have the lineup protection to put up big numbers, Street will struggle with save opportunities as the A's offense struggles to produce runs, and ARam will have a HUGE year with the addition to Soriano and D. Lee being back and HEALTHY!

Good Luck, Tough Choice

Assuming this league doesn't have salaries, specific length contracts (so you could lock some up longer than others), or other factors that could alter things, ARod would be your best option followed by Vlad. The other three rank noticeably lower. If it is a salary cap league, look at who would give you best value for the money. If it's based on multi year "contracts" you'd probably want the player you could lock up the longest.

Here's the thing...and there's really no getting around this....

Arod IS the greatest player of our generation, but he MUST win, or at LEAST PRODUCE, in the post-season for the Yankees...

YES...he was a stud for the Mariners in 1998....

YES ... he has won an MVP while playing with the Yankees...

John Elway produced, but was not ACKNOWLEDGED as GREAT until he WON a TITLE...

Is that FAIR? Absolutely NOT....but is that the REALITY of being a SUPERSTAR?

Yes it is...and that's that...

Just my opinion...

Hands down A rod. The guy is top 3 right now. If he stays with NY and has another bad year he will still get 100R 40HR 120RBI 20 s and 300 BA.

BTW THIS LAST YEAR WAS A BAD YEAR!
