If someone had their child forced into their womb against their wishes, would it be wrong to remove the child if it would die outside of the womb? Forget about the current law and think about what the law should be? How about if the mothers life was in danger? How about it if the child was really undesired by the mother? how about if the mother would have to go through labor to remove the child? And how about if the child was definitely considered (unanimously) alive?

oooooooo, that's a tough one, let's stir the pot. as a woman and a mother, if i had a child forced on me, by which i think we all assume you mean rape, i would terminate the pregnancy. i think it the greater of two wrongs to bring that child into the world and resent it for it's origins, or give it up and have the poor thing try to hunt me down later to find out how he/she came to be. if a pregnancy put my life at risk, i would terminate it. i lost my own mother at 7 and cannot begin to tell you how much i know and understand about a child needing their mother. i will not deprive my already existing child of her mother if i can help it. the only way i would consider a child undesired is if i was raped. if for whatever reason i was forced to carry an unwanted baby to term and go thru labor to "remove" it, i would have no choice but to place it for adoption. i believe that the law as it is now unanimously considers a child to be alive at 12 or 14 weeks, the end of the first trimester. having said all that, who are we talking about morally killing here, the unwanted child, or the woman who would want to terminate (kill) the pregnancy? is there any such thing as a moral killing? would i be morally justified if i slaughtered the hell out of some grown man who fiddled around with my 3 year old daughter? most people would say yes, but the law says no. would i consider myself a moral person for terminating a pregnancy? yes, see above. if we forget about what the law is and say what it should be, who decides what it should be? you? me? tom cruise? morality cannot be legislated. if it could, we'd be living in utopia. or hell. and who decides what's morally right? do you think you qualify for that job? would you want it?

I dont think it is right to kill a child that is unborn. If the mother's life was in danger, than maybe, but you also have to think about the child itself. If the child was undesired by the mother, then the mother would just have to through the birth giving and then place it for adoption because its her own fault that she had the baby in the first place (well, unless she was raped or something..)

How about this question: is your decision going to be based upon your own selfishness and biased emotions/opinions, or what is truly best for the child and everyone around you?

And don't tell people to forget the law and think of "what it should be." Everyone has an opinion, and it wants to resist the law sometimes. That doesn't mean we should break it. It's there for our own good.

There are legal reasons to abort a child such as when the life of the mother is endangered.

the law specifically states that in cases of rape. incest. or endangering the mothers life it is permissible to abort the fetus, but, just because you wanted to have fun and no protection that is different, and it is murder, any way you spell it,

If you are undesired by me, may I kill you? Killing an innocent person because you don't want them around is not OK.

Only the Mother has the ability to decide if she wants to MURDER HER UNBORN CHILD.

I reluctantly concede to abortion, killing the baby, for rape or incest, but no other reason.
