I know its tough to have teachers, who are hard, and confusing. Believe me, I'm in the same situation as you. Instead of Spanish I have Physics. I can't judge my teacher, of how he is or acts. My teacher just loves teaching, I can't take that away from him. Promise yourself you can get better, and better. It's not about whether you like him or not, it's about accepting a challenge.
If you can't deal with him, tell your counselor that you having problems catching up, and tutoring might not help you. You need a teacher who is understanding, and knowable throughout the school.
It's your GPA that counts.

You do need a foreign language to graduate highschool. But you can also ask your counselor if there is another spanish class you can be switched into. Or since you have a good gpa you can always say that you do not want to ruin your gpa and in taking this class you risk doing so. If you really have the feeling that you can not be successful in this class you really do need out. Hope I helped a little. Best of luck!!!!!
Ok so I just realized that you said spanish 2 so I am assuming you already took spanish 1. So if that is the case maybe you can tell your counselor that since you feel you won't be successful in this class maybe you can get into another elective.

You say it is too late to switch the class, so what you need to do is to switch the focus from the teacher to yourself. Your goal has to be to make sure you do okay in the class, regardless of who stands in front of the room. The more you think about how much you hate the teacher, the worse you will feel, so don't waste any time worrying about this person at all. You deserve to do well in class, and that should be your goal.

See if there is another teacher that teaches the same subject and ask if you can be placed in that class. Also explain to counselor what is going on so its understood and maybe they can place you in the library to do assigned work. Also since its to late to change this far in the year have the counselor to speak with that teacher to have matters settled.

If your counselor refuses to change your class, call your parents to school and with them on your side, it is the responsibilty of your counselor to do something about your class. She cannot possibly let you fail in that class. If your teacher can't get you switched to another class than Spanish 2, then tell her to atleast give you a different teacher for Spanish 2.
Fight for it! (Don't show attitude)

Explain to your counselor how you feel and that you realize how it will effect your GPA. Explain that you do not want to jeopardize your GPA nor your plans after High school (entry in to college.)
After any remediation will be taken by your curriculumn director, ask if the class is offered as part of your Junior year by a different teacher.

if u like the teacher personally or not should not effect you - you should be more concerned with the subject and whether u like the subject or not, whether u want to learn it or not.
just attend the classes for the sake of learning but not for the sake of seeing the teacher.
u will not have choices in life. start learning it from now on - if u'll have a bad boss / colleague in future, will u shift ur job?? no u always cant. so u should learn to adjust in life sometimes if u need something from life.

if the class is to advanced for you, than yes you should take another class, but if you just want to change class because you hate everybody. what if the class you are switched to next is not any better.if it is something you need to learn just stick it out,it will pay off in the long run.

simply tell the counselor that you desperately need to switch classes because the teacher makes you uncomfortable. tell her that he reminds you for someone who raped you as a child or something f*cked up like that. Usually advisers really sympathize with that kind of thing.
i know it sounds crazy..... but how far are you willing to go to switch classes exactly?

See if you can transfer to another language class. Just tell the counselor there is a personality conflict.
