hi i have a 94 del sol... and on the engine it says 16 valve, can that be a vtec?

Only the SI and VTEC version had VTEC. lol
16 valve doestn mean vtec.
you could have 1.5 lite SOHC with 16 valve.
check the name of the engine its should say the name of the powerplant
For the S: D15B7 and D16Y7
For the Si: D16Z6 and D16Y8
For the VTEC: B16A3 and B16A2

You don't have VTEC, I own a 1994 Honda Del Sol DOHC VTEC and the engine should be stamped B16A3, 16 valve doesn't necessarily mean that it's a VTEC. It's most likely the SOHC engine.

is there a vtec soilnoid behind cylinder number 4 next to the intake if not non-vtec also it should say on the vavle cover itself sounds like its a NON-vtec
