My best friend invited me over to her house to watch a movie and chill at 6 PM. I went. By the time the movie was over it was like 7:30. Than we went online and at 8 her mom comes in and tells me it's time for them to go to bed and tells me to leave. Do you think this was rude? It's not like I just went to their house, she invited me. I usually don't go to their house.
It's like kicking a guest they invited out.
It was SUMMER and a FRIDAY NIGHT! No schooL!!!!!!! No work for her mom!!!

She said "It's time for us to go to bed, it's time for you to go home."

WTF is wrong with people who said it's not rude? It is definitely rude when you invite someone over at 6 (it's not like they were at your house the whole day) and is your daughters best friend, they hardly hang out, and you kick them out.
Anyway, I am not friends with this girl anymore and thank GOD!!

It was rude. If they wanted you to leave ealier, then they should have invited you over earlier.

No. Your friend's Mother didn't invite you over. You didn't give your ages. How far away do you live from them? Perhaps the Mother wasn't feeling well, and just didn't want to have the responsibility of another person around. Yes, you become her responsibility, and your friend's Mother, for some reason, did not want that at that time. If this happens often when you go there, then I would ask what the problem is.

No, I don't think it was rude. My daughter has her friends come over all the time. My house is like the hangout. you have to be considerate of the mother. Does she work? Maybe she was tired and wanted time alone. I know that i hardly get privacy because someone is at my house most of the time. Theres got to be a limit. Regardless what time it was or when. I have to come to the point to tell my daughters friends okay its time to go. Some people just over welcome their stay.

It sounded rude, but I don't think the mom really meant it to be that way. The mom probably wasn't feeling up to having company there too late, she probably had a long day. It's her house. Not your friend's. Your friend invited you, not the mom.
You said you're no longer friends with the girl? It wasn't your friend's fault. Your friend can invite you, but it's still her mom's house.

Okay, as a mom sometimes it just gets tiring having folks all over the house...we get tired okay?? Sometimes we want some peace and quiet just with our family. We are the house the all the kids hang at, but sometime, the kids just have to go...I always let them know that they are welcome back the next day. No work for mom, hardly...if you have kids, a house...believe me there is ALWAYS work to be done. Get over it.

oooo what a house! they go to bed without having dinner??
Each household has got rules, maybe the rule there is be in bed by 8. U r right to feel that way, her mum shoud have approached it in another way without making you feel like being thrown out!

yes, i do, but you know some people are wierd. Her mom might have some sort of jealously problem, maybe she can't handle her daughter having friends over and having fun, b/c she gets jealous that her daughters not spending time with her?

This happened LAST Summer? May I make a suggestion please?
It was last Summer. You don't sound like adults, exactly. Maybe the mother had her reasons, maybe you're right and she was RUDE!
Let it go dear. Please don't set yourself up to dwell on the past.
