Yes....South Africa has lots of chances to win World Cup 2007. But you are forgetting that there is a dangerous team Australia. If South Africa can win Australia yours wish could be fulfilled. But what about India....? Let us hope India win the World Cup 2007...

While in the current form South Africa and Australia are hot favourites to win ghe world cup, since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on many occasions, nothing can be predicted correctly about the outcome of a tournament in advance.
The final outcome will purely depend upon which team perform consistently during the world cup. India, Sri Lanka, England, Pakistan, West Indies and New Zeland are capable of causing upsets in the tournament

South Africa has great chances of winning this world cup in West Indies. However, I feel that Australia is the only team which can seriously challenge South Africa. Australia is a little low on confidence right now as it has been beaten twice by England.

I wish they would !! Either South Africa or NewZealand !! No doubt South africa is the best team and they always do their best and hardly go down regarding their performance but unfortunately they had been quite unlucky in previous world cups!! they do the best thoughout the series but get a hard luck at the end and then can not get into final...I wish they would make it this time !

South Africa have played their recent ODIs on their home soil. While they have players like Smith, Kallis(despite his age),DeViellers, Pollock, Ntini, Andre Nel and not forgetting Mark Boucher the ever dependeable wicket keeper batsman(the hero of the epic win of SA over Aussies), it is too premature to say they will win the World Cup because they have not played their ODIs in the WI recently. But certainly they are a potential threat to the Aussies.

I am not sure abt this.....
because we have no idea abt the pitch....how it play...because these are prepared now for the worldcup....
i think it will not be a good bating track....it will be a slow pitch....very difficult to score....So South africa has a little chance to win the worldcup this time....because they are not a great player in these kind of tracks.....i agree that player like Jack Kallis will perform well there...but it will be very hard to win world cup there.....
i will go for Australia, India or Srilanka

Swing is going to be the king in this wold cup. South Africans cannot play swing bowlers. Look how Smith had no idea about playing the swing of Zaheer.
Neither SF or AUS is going to be in the finals. Best chances are for WI, India, Sri Lanka and England.
All fast bowlers will have tough time. So, Brett Lee, Bond, Ntini, Shoaib (if selected) etc., Maling (Geez... I hate his action) will be pounded.

Yes they can! After that match in 2006 with Australia (439 runs victory), South Africa are champions. I want them to win, they deserve it, they have worked for it, they are My team and this world cup belongs to them.

Not forget this world cup is not playing on the Sa or England where you find the bouncy or seaming track. It going to play on the slow and low pitches of west Indiea as we know that SA or AUS hate this knd of pitches so anybody can won the cup
