brother mfc 3100c has an error 41 help

I had one, the thing was absolute junk from the gitgo! Your error points to a mechanical error, possibly the print head going bad. Dont wast money on trying to fix it! Chuck it and get an HP or Lexmark! We also had problems at work with most of the Brother printers, as far as I am concerned, Brother couldnt make a printer to save their BUM!

Machine Error 41 indicates a mechanical malfunction with FAX/DCP/MFC.

Often, unplugging the unit from the power source and then plugging it back in again can clear this error message.

If the message continues to be displayed on the LCD, please contact Brother Customer Service for more options where they will tell you to reinstall your software.
