Besides peer pressure I wonder what your reasons for getting pierced are?

I have had both in the past and would have my tongue done over the nipple any day of the week. Keep in mind, though, that I am pretty sensitive there, and more so than most. What really killed me was the tool they use to hold it while it is getting pierced (like a split hemostat, if you will).
I now have neither because of my job - one was because of the physical aspect (the nip ring got in the way at times and well, it's not the daintiest of professions), and my tongue stud just wasn't allowed - we must dress in uniform and present ourselves in a certain fashion. I will be turning 30 in a couple of days, so it really doesn't bother me like it would have if I were younger. The thought that maybe I am too old for that kind of thing did run through my head, and I did get to enjoy them for about 12 years.
At least they can't take away my tats! :) Not a problem with that, though, they aren't outwardly noticeable. You have to know me very well to even be privy to their location.
If you do have either done, just take special care in your researching (for a good piercer). Make sure that they are sanitary and licensed. Good luck, and take care.

My husband has both nipples and his tongue, I don't care who argues with me on this, men have a lower pain thresh-hold than women do. My husband handled it just fine, still has them all plus a couple other unmentionables and doesn't regret any of them, Yes, his tongue was swollen and he ate and talked funny for a few days, but after than, he was fine. As far as people telling you about broken teeth, that is if you wear a metal bar and balls, there are alternatives that look equally awesome. For the record, he has never broken a tooth on his tongue ring. Go for it! You can always take the out later if they dont make you happy anymore!

I have my tongue pierced...The night I got it done it didn't hurt at all it hurts for about 3 days after and you can hardly eat anything... i am not going to lie to you it hurt in the middle of the night... ...but it was totally worth it... I love having mine done...

Just whatever you do dont have it hanging out of your mouth all the time...thats annoying...

As for the nipple... I had an ex boyfriend that had it done and it hurt so bad he had to take it out and the funny thing is he said it hurt worse than his D**K piercing...

EDIT: Just because she wants it done does not mean she is having an identity crisis...

I want to get my tongue pierced also, I know a few people who got it done, they said it hurt pretty bad, then the days after hurt a lot, and your tongue swells up a lot. As for nipples, I want mine done also. I actually did them myself one time, it hurt pretty badly. I ended up taking them out, I want them back though. I also have my belly button pierced, I used to have my nose and lip too.

i've had my tongue pierced and stretched. didn't hurt very much at all, just a little stinging. the day after the swelling was really bad and it was very hard to eat for about a week. but everyone's experience is different. good luck.

If that is what you want then why not? My sister had her tongue done and it was sore for a while, but got better in a few days. As far as the titties. . . .I don't kow but I doubt it would hurt for long. Cant be any worse than breast feedng kids who are teething. Now I have done that. Try one and if it hurts too bad you don't have to do the other.

i had my toung and both my girls peirced.

toung:
it stung a little at first, but it wasnt bad. the healing sucked because it got swollen, but that was okay because it didnt last very long

girls:
both hurt for a second. but not badly at all, they were sore for a few days after that,

none of them were worth it. i took my toung ring out because it got infected and then the hole closed and i took out the other two because i like to sleep naked and the rings would get caught/pulled/yanked/flipped up and my nips always hurt in the morning so i took them out also

my hubby used to have his tounge pierced... he broke a few of his teeth because he would swirl it around with his tounge and would accidentally bite on the ball end. the dentist told him that he wouldn't fix anymore teeth if he continued to leave it in so he took it out (this happened way before we were even dating). as for the nipples, i have seen friends that have them done, both male and female and i think that they are tasteful and i never heard any of them complain.

nips sounds OK, but not tongue- it leads ppl to think of you as sluuttyy.... and throws all your business out there.

I have a nose ring, and a lip piercing. was gonna do a nip- but was to shy to take it out to let him pierce it. LOL

Hurt? Ever had a baby? The pain of childbirth might last a little longer but it didn't bring tears to my eyes. And then a year later it was, well I don't want that stupid thing anymore and I got rid of it.
