Too damn expensive. But I do it for the love of them! The initial cost of a ferret is about $150. They require a cage, which a good large one will cost you around $200. Then you have to buy several litter pans. Waterbottles, food bowls or feeders, puppy pads(these are VERY useful for cleaning up mess!), good ferret food generally costs around $15 for a 4-lb bag. They require a series of vaccinations, which will cost you about $40-60 initially, with follow up boosters annually. They are most definately not cheap animals! Also, start up a vet fund, because they will most definately need it at one point!

The ferret cost will depend on whether you're getting them from the store or rescues. They can run you up to $150 just for the ferret. A good cage will cost you up to $200. Then all the suplies (food, water bottle, food dish, hammocs, ect.) Depending on where you get your ferret there will be other expences too. If you get a baby ferret from the store you'll need to do 2 destemper boosters and a rabies their first year. That can cost up to $200 (all depends on the vet you go to) If you get the ferret from a rescue they will have their shots. Then every year you need to get a booster for rabies and destemper once a year. Good quality food will cost a bit. I buy 30lbs bags of tottaly ferret on line for about $80, but the 4lbs bags are $20 at the store. Since I have 8 ferrets the 30lbs bag doesnt last that long. Fuzzies can eat :P Oh and theres also litter that they can go through pretty fast. You need to clean the litter box once a day. I get yesturdays news (30lbs for $12) Ferrets can be fairly expencive but they are definetly worth it!

Very exciting, very stupid and extremely diverse. you will constantly get stopped once you're taking them out on a leash. Cons? the fee of possessing one. they are no longer decrease priced! in case you're in accordance with somebody else to pay for the ferret and its desires, don't get one! a lot of mom and father will flow the cheap path with its care and this may lead directly to a unwell, unhappy ferret and severe priced vet costs. US ferrets are very carriers to ailment. to purchase is a minimum of $70 to $2 hundred (or greater in case you flow to a superb ferret breeder.) the fee of possessing one relies upon on the ferret and its well-being. My ferret meals is $20 for a 6.6 lb bag, that lasts approximately 2 weeks. yet I truthfully have 4 ferrets. They require 2 vaccinations each year, an extremely large cage, quite some time outdoors their cage, quite some toys and hammocks, and a top high quality dry ferret kibble, or a uncooked meals plan (nonetheless thoroughly study uncooked diets first) Ferrets additionally do ultimate in pairs. i could no longer think of permitting my ferrets to stay outdoors, as they are very soft to the warmth and the chilly. US ferrets generally stay 6-7 years, properly-bred ferrets can stay as much as ten. Ferrets are interior the Mustelidae kinfolk. they are weasels, no longer rodents.Ferrets in reality consume rodents. :) A ferret left sitting via itself in a cage for hours on end is a dismal creature. they are very social and clever. a pair hours of play in between college, homework and bedtime isn't adequate to maintain a ferret mentally inspired.

the ferret will be cheaper than his cage. they are about 130.00 at petsmart and petco. they are a lot of fun but need to have food prepared for them. staple food isn't a good option for them.
