Can wearing black all the time make you feel more negative- or wearing yellow make you feel more positive? And if so, is that unique to the culture? whereas in China, I believe, white is the funeral color and red the wedding color; can red make you feel more positive, and white make you feel negative? Or is it just something that's unique to the individual- depending on what each person relates a specific color to, to determine how they feel?

Yes it can, temporarily.
That's a tough question...individual, culture or human? I'll go with the idea that all humans associate certain things with a specific color.
I don't necessarily think it depends on weddings funerals etc, but more on sky, tree, earth, water, sun, things that exist in nature which is the only thing we have in common. Before these ceremonies were created people had to have a sense of colour as well.
The colour probably came first and people chose to associate it with certain occasions. Since black represents mystery and white represents innocence or light then both are good representations for a funeral. The same goes for a wedding, if white represents innocence and red passion or love.
There was a study done on colour where they put a group of people in a blue room and another group in a red room. They left the temperature the same but after a while they noticed people in the blue room showing signs of being cold and signs of being warm in the red room, like taking off jackets or rubbing arms, etc.
We can test this idea since there are all kinds of people from different backgrounds here and ask what each colour represents for them. I'll ask that question now.

The associations you have had in your life with a particular color may result in you feeling a certain way when in the presence of that color, but the color itself doesn't cause the feeling. If you associate black with funerals or with depressed goth kids, you may feel depressed when you wear or see black, but if you associate black with your favorite black party dress, you may feel festive in the presence of black. Same with all the other colors.

Colors don't cause feelings, but they can be stimuli that affect feelings.

Yes,
COLOR has effect of energy. "BLACK" - my personal advise is to stay away.
White - Color of piece
Red - Color of High energy
Blue- Color of prosperity
Orange - Color of devotion etc.
I am sure you can find out lot on Internet. Do some search. In you family, anyone who has born on 8th, 17th, 26th date will be more attracted to Black color and like to have everything in Black but this color is most bad or you can say unlucky for that person. Tell them to wear light blue shades.
I can talk lot on this but you can do some studies on this. Please try to stay away from Black.

if you consistently wear the same color it is a conscious decision. whatever that color means to you consciously or subconsciously, that is what you are purposely expressing and everytime you look at the color you remind yourself of how you want to feel..... so yes, but in a "what came first the chicken or the egg" kind of way.
