Why is it that latin singers seem to have rough voices?

do they also have vocalist that hit high notes or most of them sing low?

Could have to do with how we are built. I know that sounds wierd, but think about it. I mean, black women have been known to have incredable, powerful, soulful voices.............. I think te evolution of the hispanic "Passionate Machismo" over time has simply led to women and men in latin entertainment to fall into that catagory....... I mean think about the aisian culture as well. They are known to be very mild and meek. So is their music....... Ya ever hear of a Japanese County Singer???

AS FOR ME, I am Portugese AND Italian and I have a VERY low and raspy, rockin voice........
