Just about every national team in the world continues to get better and better on an absolute scale, but some teams are progressing faster than others. On a relative scale the US is getting better faster than average in the rest of the world, while Mexico is just keeping pace with the rest of the world's progress. In other words, the US is getting better faster than Mexico is.

Mexico is better, to be honest here, the problem is Mexico had two days to practice for the game vs USA and the states had practiced for 2 weeks, also the players that Hugo Sanchez called for this event were pretty lame, because he didn't want to call the young guns wich are both 17 years old that are Carlos Vela and Giovanni Dos Santos, seriously you have to see those too in action Giovanni is going to be in barcelona A division as soon as they give ronaldinho his citizinship next month, those two plus ano0ther 3 that were on the national teams vs USA could have made a whole lot of difference, it would have been great to see both teams with their superstars including USA with Mcbride. but truthly Mexico still is better and is way more passionate.

for those who think the US team is better than Mexico... Mexico have defeated Brasil 5 times on their last 6 meetings (all of them official matches including 3 tournament final matches), so Mexico is better than Brasil??? come on!!!! The US is not better than Mexico because of the winning or scoreless streak against Mexico....just for the same reason Mexico is not better than Brasil.....

If the US wants to be better than Mexico, just improve the overall record, not only the last 7 or 8 matches (in the US) =D

Mexico's Under-17 national team won a world championship in Peru in 2005!

Mexico's soccer is still better cause they have a record of 30-13-10 against the U.S.

In addition, Mexico has won a Confederations Cup in 1999.

mexico has world class players so it hink theyr better talent wise but the us has the mental advantadge because the mexicans, honestly should be winning every single one of those games, lets take for instance last gam. keller was not keeping, beasley wasnt blaying neither was ching nor mastreoni or bocanegra so mexico honestly has a mental block and doestn beelive that they can beleive the united states even though on paper they should defiently beat them

us national team is better then any team in the america except argentina and brazil, overseas the us national team to be more aggresive, they are lot of good teams and good players out there the us doesnt have that much good players nor that much experience.
