Apperently, making us happy and smiling is more important than making us healthy.

Most actors and singers are very low paid - they live off the earnings from their primary jobs as servers, bartenders or office temps, and they make minimal money from their craft. Most of them spend more money on lessons, demo tapes, studio time, pictures and other promotion-related expenses than they'll ever earn from their talent.
A small portion of actors and vocalists actually live off their earnings from entertaining - and most of them make relatively low incomes.
A handfull of top Hollywood stars and Top 40 recording artists make good money - and that's because they sell a lot of movie tickets and/or CDs.
Even then, they make much less than you think!
TLC sold 10 million albums in 4 years but the three women in the group only made $ 40,000 a year (the rest went to the record company and their manager).
Toni Braxton sold 10 million records but she got so little of the profits that she actually had to file for bankruptcy.
In any case, the few superstars who make the big bucks in entertainment do so because the generate a lot of profit for the entertainment corporations who market their creative work.

Thank you Vinnie, you're the only sane one. Not every actor or singer gets paid millions, they have to pay dues and work their way up. If you have a problem with them earning millions, you'll stop buying their movies, albums, going to concerts, etc.

that is dumb. doctors save lives and do get paid well. but not the millions that actors get. the people that do work to get where they are get paid well. but dunces that didnt pass high school get paid millions.
that just tells you how screwed up society is

we provide the money for them by buying or wathcing what they are selling
rember they r as good as the last thing they put out
