Why is myspace taking over the world?

myspace is getting bigger everyday! and now every one has a myspace even 3rd graders!! so why is myspace so popular?

i've thought about it long and hard..... well, no, not really. i thought about it short, and easily..... the answer isnt hard to figure out:

MOST PEOPLE ARE STUPID.

there you go, now you know why myspace is popular. people who dont have things to do, and dont get fulfillment out of the relationships they have with actual humans in day to day life, will spend their time counting how many "friends" they have, and gossiping about people they've never met rather than going out and doing something and living life. its pretty sad. its one thing to go online in your down time, or to log on at work when its slow or something, but there are too many kids now that are developing social disorders because of this myspace crap.

I personally use it to check out the music scene in my neighborhood. It is a way for small, unsigned bands to not only get their show info to the masses, but to get a lot of free advertising and exposure. There are probably a hundred bands that I really like now that I would never have known about if it weren't for myspace.

Take myspace for whatever you want and if you can't find a use for it, forget about it.

I personally think its ridiculous...if i see an old friend, they are like hey do you have a myspace? what happened to using the phone??? I used to have a myspace 4 years ago when it was "low key" but its too busy now, not to mention all the spyware and crap on it....but I do enjoy checking out the music on it...my friends band got so much feedback on their page...so thats a good thing

I dont know. I remember when I got myspace for the first time. I got it when it was not known.... then all of a sudden everyone was on it and it was the cool thing to have. Now I just use it to keep in touch with my friends from California because I moved to Pa.

I think this subject is a matter of opinion. In ways, it's popular because you can talk with people and view things about them. For me, Myspace was just a way to talk to my boyfriend when he was over in Iraq for eight months. I don't find it addictive, but it seems everyone who is in middle school or high school can't get enough of it. I suppose all of the interactive things that come with the site make it so appealing to the masses. You get to project this image of yourself in the form of your profile and communicate with friends quickly. That is why it's so popular.

Myspace is just a way for friends to stay in touch. it is so popular, because after school friends can talk to friends on it. also, it is a "thrill" to some people to know they have something that they know their parents wouldn't approve of.

why does it stay popular?
alot of people get almost hooked on it, like drugs, just on the web. every day, we get more hooked on electronics, and myspace is just one of thoes things that stays comes with more electronics.

People follow its simple. Why do people drink it started because people started to copy each other then peer pressure came in to play. But I myself don't have one I think they are stupid they are pointless if you need friends then go out and get a life.
