I'm getting married in July and I want to know what some good products are to use. I'd prefer to stick with designer department store type labels - after all, it's my big day - so brands like Chanel, Dior, MAC, Shiseido and BeneFit are sort of the category. Can you all help me choose a good foundation, etc.?

I am pretty experienced with doing makeup and have done it for others for special occasions. The fact of the matter is, I feel I know my face and what looks good on it pretty well and I really wouldn't leave that in the hands of someone else. I've had my makeup done by a professional before, and it just didn't look like I wanted it to. That's why I'm doing it myself. Please just recommend me some products that you like and stop judging my plans. Thanks. I appreciate it.

if its a day to night affair you will need extra coverage for when you sweat and when natural oils come out. not to mention the huge number of people you'll be cheek to cheeking that day. try mac pro body and face foundation which can be used by airbrushing or sponge.it can be used to cover up blemishes on your back too.you can buy all you need at the mac pro shop. if its an oudoor wedding get the mac liquid foundation with spf . stock up on mac studio fix powder foundation because its good for touch ups. it works as a powder when dry and a foundation when wet. it provides great coverage too. i recommend the mac studio fix powder foundation, lip gloss and a curlash(if you're not wearing falsies) in your little formal touch up bag. if its purely a night affair you can use a light liquid foundation also available at mac.good luck!

The best thing for you to do is to have your make-up done by a professional and if you don't have the budget for that you can go into a major department store to the counter of your choice and ask who the make-up artist is. You can talk to him/her and explain about your wedding and they will give you ideas on colors etc. You may have to purchase some products before or on the day of your wedding but when you do tha they will gladly apply your make-up for your for free ( you can tip) It is best to go a few weeks/months before your wedding to make a choice on your product brand and get to the know the person you will be working with. Rememeber the pictures at your wedding will last a lifetime..........so even id yiou must pay a small price to look your best., IT IS WORTH IT!...Good Luck!

Congratulations on your wedding. I am an Avon Beauty Advisor and I do consultation on my site. I currently use Avon's powder and mousse foundations and they are great. Avon used to have an exclusive makeup line made to be comparable to MAC, Dior, etc, now they have formulted all of their foundations to be comparable or in some cases better than the others. I have taken pictures in the makeup and it photographs great. I offer online consultations @ www.youravon.com/ncrutchfield. Click "contact me" on the site and I will email you a consult form. I hope to hear from you soon. If your address is included, I can mail you samples of the colors before you buy the full size products.
There is currently a sale on all foundations, including mineral makeup.

Girogio Armani Luminious Silk Foundation is one of the best foundations out there. I think it was voted one of the best foundations two years ago... NARS eyeliner, or anytype of NARS blush or eye shadow stays on great and they offer great colors. CARGO has great bronzers as well as lipgloss. Check out Sephora or Holt Renfrew; they have everything you need for your big day. Don't be afraid to spend a lil bit more for makeup on your big day. It only happens once and you want to look and feel your best. Congrats!

If you are interested in buying make up products, go to the nearest macy's, nordstrom's, or any big department store. Go to the makeup section and tell the makeup artists what you want, and how you want to look. They will tell you what goes with your skin tone, tell you how to apply it, what to buy, and etc... Good luck and Congrats on the big day!

Estee Lauder DoubleWear lasts well and photographs well because it's matte but not too matte. It will last through kissing, crying, sweating, etc. Get help finding a color match - Lauder's colors are a bit weird so you'll want to wear it out in the sun for a while and make sure the color doesn't turn on you before you buy it.
