A friend of mine has anxiety attacks also known as panic attacks. He went to see a doctor that prescribed him medicine to be able to deal with anxiety attacks. Now he is alot better. One thing I would advise is that she stay away from stressful situations like long drives in heavy traffic. Some situations can trigger the attacks. She needs to see a counselor or a doctor asap.

I am so happy, it was only a 35 minute drive ( 70 minutes total) but absolutely no sign of anxiety or panic i shopped till I dropped - brilliant! I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway

hey, no worries, it's not your fault, it's not her fault. it's a mental disorder. if she is seeing a psychiatrist, everything is okay. if not, tell her she needs too. there is a chance it can be cured, but more than likely she will have to learn how to deal with it and live normally with it. my mom had something like anxiety, and i have anxiety. she'll probably get medication, and deal with it, but it will take a long time, i would say just hang in there and pray for her.

HELLO...
I had anxiety for years and there's medicine out there that will help your mother. In the meantime here's an exercise that works like magic.....while she is having an "anxiety attack".....give her a tablet of paper and a pen. Have her write this word 100 times and while she is writing it have her write each letter really s..l..o..w....while saying the word out loud and slow thinking of the word while she is writing each letter slow....the word is ~RELAX~....I swear in most cases by the time the person gets to 35 or so their anxiety is gone.
This was passed on to me and i promise you it works like a mini miracle.
Best of luck and please let me know how it works for her.

I have anxiety like your Mom...dont worry there are things that we can take that help with the Anxiety. Sometimes when this gets stressful we cry...just remember its not your fault and if your mom is having a hard day please just give her a hug....it will help.

Everyone suffers from stress and anxiety and there is no cure. The doctor should have given her a prescription for something to help alieve her anxiety.

it's ok, your mom is fine, she just needs to get upset and cry sometimes to let out her bad feelings. Just give her a hug and let her know how much you love her when she's feeling sad.
