first empty the cabinet and wash it out with a mix of bleach and hot water. next, set a fan up to blow air under the cabinet to dry it out. then, put one of those baking soda boxes for the fridge under the sink and close the doors. if you think that the pipe leak got under the cabinet and that it still could be wet under it, put a container of Damp Rid in there, too. give the two of these about a week to work, then you can put all the stuff that you took out back in the cabinet. good luck, hope this helps.

A good cleaning of the area with bleach sounds like a good idea. It will kill any mold or mildew spores which may be causing the odor. Let the area dry thoroughly after cleaning. Then, to help prevent the problem from recurring, use a special paint like Kilz or B.I.N., which you can find at The Home Depot or Lowes. They will seal the surfaces which were breeding the offending odors and prevent them from rising to the surface and to your nose.

Be careful cleaning with bleach then adding some other chemical. There is probably some kind of microbial growth under the cabinet thast you cant see. Be careful mixing bleach and other chemicals.

As far as I understand it the home owner is responsible for any mold and leak damage. Also there is a 1 year warranty that should be covered by the owner.

i would wipe it down, making sure all is clean , then put a couple of coats of paint on it. Paint acts as a sealer, You'll be fine.
