with the level of racism in the us i dont believe america would vote him in, just look at how ignorant america is we had a chance to get rid of bush in 02 and the majority still voted him in, can you honestly believe in the heart of hearts of american society that white america wants to see a black dude in theyr? no not likely, maybe in another twenty years but not in 08

I think that he's inconsistent and unseasoned. Considering that just last year (January of '06) he flat-out said that no, he would not run for President in 2008 because he was going to finish his term and serve the people of Illinois (and yet here he is...), I think anyone who trusts him is a fool.
Either he's so fickle that he would throw over a commitment because he felt it was politically expedient for him to do so, or he's so naive that he would make statements like that without realizing that they can come back and bite him in the a$s. I think if he made that sort of reversal on an international stage, he'd be eaten alive.

I'm from Illinois and I can tell you he has no experience. He's one of the most liberal senators in the nation today. He's so far left....he's going off the road. Listen to him...he hasn't said a word about what he's going to do any different than anyother politician. He's a pro-abortion, anti-war, big tax, big government politician. He doesn't think we have the sense to make our own decisions and would rather make government so big that it does everything for us. He will raise our taxes, make us look like cowards throughout the world, and run things the way they have always been run in DC...crooked.

i would vote him because he is black. i know...that sounds ignorant. but it is true. i feel that in order for America to strive for true equality amongst it's citizens...then there needs to be a change from the norm. America is a very diverse place...and that is why i feel like striving for equality...will make us a better society as a whole. we can focus on real issues instead of being burdened with nonsense issues...like racism. and it is true...i am not aware of much of obamas political standpoints...but i know that he can't be any worse than the president we have now...so whatever would work for me right about now.

He is purely a ruse to get people to rally around something instead of nothing.
