When you see someone laughing and joking with the people they work with, but as soon as HE turns his back those people make fun of him and say how much they can't stand HIM? There's this guy at work who thinks that he has friends there and those same people make fun of him and say how annoying he is, and how much they can't stand his jokes and how loud he is. I just feel bad for the guy! I think he may be a little retarded, he's real insecure and one day he's unhappy then the next he's real happy, no-one likes him, I did but he hates me so I guess i'm not his friend either, but I don't hate him.

If you didn't hate him why would you write a question like this? You're "FRIEND" could prob care less about what certain people say and knows what's said. You don't sound like a true friend if you don't stick up for this guy.Don't you feel bad?

Sometimes people are annoying. Doesn't make it right that people make fun of them behind their back but, what are you going to do, change the world? It's wrong too, that, sometimes we do the same thing too, we are after all, human. I don't think that that is the way real folks feel, afterall, don't you feel bad about it? I'm sure you're not the only one who does. I know I would too. However, in the long run, wouldn't you help the person when in need? Don't people talk about the ones who aren't retarded as well? Sure they do. Just be there for the person when they truly need it, and don't admonish yourself for being human, have a sensible sense of humor.

Yes, I have felt that way about a co-worker as well. That means you have a heart:) People who take the time to make fun or talk about someone else, is very insecure about themselves.

l hate those kind of people, too. There's plenty of hypocrites and there's not much we can do.
At least you know their true color and be able to stay away.
You don't have to approach him if he doesn't like you. Try smiling when you bump into each other.
He'll eventually find out you are a nice person and be friends with you.

Its probaly like any gay guy that played on a basketball team with Tim Hardaway. He was probaly nice to them to their face, but like yesterday he was probaly bashing them to his friends.I would feel bad too, because if you tell him you would hurt his feelings and it would make things really uncomfortable there for him.Probaly all you can do is try to be nice to him yourself and not make fun of him at all.

Boy that is a tough one. You don't sit there and make fun of him behind his back, do you? I mean geez, didn't we all have enough of this crap when we were in high school? When do we ever grow out of this kind of stuff?
