Incredible band. They had a "Top 40" hit "Light My Fire". A buddy turned me on to their first album. Blew my mind. I bought their second album, "Strange Days" when it came out. I freaked on the cover. The midget in the for ground is wearing the same jacket I had as a kid. The crescendo in the song, "When The Music's Over" gave me a feeling I could not describe. I asked my female friend to listen with me. I wanted to kiss her and I did. It seemed like an orgasm. I learned later that an orgasm is different. Years later I turned my college buddies onto The Doors. We would play their albums tripping on acid.
Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison is dead on. It is spooky.

My cousin is obsessed with them. He likes Scott Stapp only because he played with the surviving Doors members on VH1 and he is still really mad at me for drawing a tiny bit on a Jim Morrison poster he has in the basement.

You're joking right? *sighs* Kids today......
The Doors are one of the best bands of all time. Glad to hear you have discovered them. You are now one of the enlightened ones. I dub thee "Rider on the Storm". Now say three Hail, Mr. Mojo Risin and you will be redeemed.
