There is such a thing called implantation bleeding....when the uterus is being implanted you can shed some blood. But, I don't know about clots. I would take a pregnancy test, then call your doctor if it's positive. Good luck.

I'm not an expert, but I thought i'd put in my two cents anyway, this is just what I've heard - Early in pregnancy, you can get what's called spotting, usually for only a few days though. It's often considered a period, (esp an unplanned pregnancy, you get some spotting and go "thank god I'm not pregnant!") But I'm not sure what it's caused by. I'd say ask your doctor, or even make an appointment, they'll give you a pregnancy test and most likely be able to tell you exactly what it is.

Just to make sure you don't have ectopic pregnancy, check this..........
At first, an ectopic pregnancy may seem like a normal pregnancy. Early signs and symptoms are the same as those of any pregnancy — a missed period, breast tenderness, fatigue and nausea.
Abdominal or pelvic pain is usually the first sign of an ectopic pregnancy. You may have lower abdominal or pelvic pain or mild cramping on one side of the pelvis. Abnormal vaginal bleeding is common, too. If the fallopian tube ruptures, you may feel sharp, stabbing pain in your pelvis, abdomen or even your shoulder and neck. You may become dizzy or faint.

I'd suggest getting to a hospital. What you're describing could be an early but spontaneous abortion, aka a miscarriage. In that case, you want to make certain that you have expelled all of the products of conception, other wise you might end up with a horrible infection that could cost you your fertility, if not your life.
You would also want to know how long you should wait before trying again. And you will be advised to give your body that rest.
I'm sorry for your apparent loss.

many women have no signs of pregnance -except the missed period- at only three weeks. however my doctor told me that it is common to have light bleeding early on in pregnancy. you could also be having a wierd period, too, tho, so you really should see a doctor.and find out exactly what is going on.
