The most dominant ever is Walt Chamberlain. Duncan is the most dominant now, but Bosh will be the next best thing. Chris like all other elite PF/C are extremely atheletic can could probably compete in any competive competition, but what separates Bosh is that he plays with knowledge and heart. Bosh has a line of successful low post moves that have defenders questioning everything he does. If a move doesnt work he is capable of just plowing through and scoring. Bosh all has the Mid-J which is quite rare for a guy like him. He is too complicated of a player to stop and as soon as he gets to his prime don't be surprised if he puts up 30/15 and 3+. The best post player in college right now is Antanas Kavaliauskas of Texas A&M. He without a doubt has a better arsenal of low post moves than anyone else in the NBA (other than Duncan). The kid is right out of a video game but no fortunately he isn't Dr. Athlete so he will have difficulty with the transition.

Some of those guys are power forwards and play facing the basket sometimes. Yao is getting better, but the next dominant post in the NBA is a freshman at Ohio State, Greg Oden.

Yao has the complete low post game, the turn around, left or right hook, up and under, drop step, he's really become fundamentally sound.
Dwight Howard is a beast down low, but no go to move yet.
Amare is more of a foul line down type of guy, doesn't really play with his back to the basket. Bosh is more of a forward like Kevin Garnett.

It would be Yao because of his sheer height, but he doesn't seem to assert his might in games. (at least not yet). I would have to agree that Dwight Howard is a Quick-drop step and Jump hook away from being the next Shaq.
The next dominant big man will be either of these two men.

Andrew Bynum will bevelop into a 25 and 10 guy in the next 2 or three years. He has good size and athleticism, and will turn in to an unstoppable force in the paint. He is still only 20 and his game continues to improve. Plus he will get to play with Kobe, who will draw attention and open up the middle for him.

Amare Stoudamire is the next dominant NBA post player. The guys got it all. Speed, Power, and he is improving his shot.

Yao. Too great of an offensive player who can short to be stopped.

Yao. his offensive game is so far superior to the above centers listed that this choice is obvious. and to the above person who said that yao isn't aggressive, you obviously haven't seen the way he's been playing recently. 25pts 10rebs and 2blks are not what you would call passive...

chris bosh. hes starting in the allstar game. right now, i would say hes the best out of the '03 draft class, he just hasnt had as much talent around him as dwade or melo, yet theyre in first in their division. hes a beast down low and has a nice outside jumper also
