Three major reasons:
1> They respect their culture more than we do. Hence eliminating the negative aspects of being influenced by any foriegn culture. They know the negatives of their own culture and know how to tackle them.
2> They belive in hard work in their own country while Indians run to other countries whenever they get a chance. While a chinese would stick to his own country even of paid less.
3> They donot indulge themselves too much with what's going on in other countries. They concentrate on their own upbringing.

Dictatorship can bring temporary and selective prosperity at the cost of civil liberties. Tibetans don't have food to eat, Christians can't read Bible. Muslims in South-West are suppressed routinely. Young people from rural areas are forced to big cities for menial jobs. Students are brought under tanks in Tienanmen square. If that is called fast growth, that is the last thing a sane person would want.

there is a limit to corruption, china knows that, in India however going in politics is a business, its not about the good of the country.if there was no independent aid going to the country they would of been the poorest country (general public),with the richest politicians in the world. there are some good politicians that's why we are where we are now.but majority are thinking about how much money they can make while in office. we should have Bangladesh's system, the independent caretaker government, who takes all the corrupted politicians in court after there term in office.
