Should I turn it off every time I am finished even if I am coming back in a few minutes.

Right click on your desktop. Left click on Properties. Click on Screen Saver tab, click on Power button. Here you can set your monitor to turn off after a period of inactivity. When you come back, just move the mouse and the monitor will automatically turn back on.

no but dont leave it on all night when ur sleeping or leave it on all day while ur at work ... keep the brightness as low as u can where it looks ok to u ... the backlight bulb has a finite life and so does the brightness control hardware ... but turning it on and off alot cant be good for it either ..

keep it covered when you are not using it, and keep it out of the sun, and don't let poeple put there figure prints all over the screen, they are pretty strudy, and take a lot, but be as gentle to it as you can.
