It might not be the most corrupt of all time but losing billions of dollars, giving no-bid contracts to former companies and campaign contributors and lying about WMDs and fixing the facts around the policy to get US into a war for oil and treasure gives it a pretty high score on the corruption meter.

I do think they are the most secretive. I think they beat Nixon at it. But that is no wonder, since many of the people are from that administration and have gotten worse with age.

And to you tired repugs who keep screaming Clinton in answer to any claim against Bush like a bunch of Tourette's sufferers, let's remember that your party spent ~$60 million investigating Clinton right down to his shorts and all you got was having an affair with an intern and lying about it. That didn't rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. I bet if we spent that kind of money investigating Bush, he and most of his cabinet and advisors would have been publicly executed by now for what they have done.

What kind of deals are you making? One thing for sure, there are many thugs in the house and the senate, both democrats and republicans. The United States has historically dealt with many corrupt governments. The Axis powers, the dictators of south and central america, the north Korean regimes and the Iranian buffalo chips just to name a few. Now, if we could convince our corrupt republicans and democrats to join forces against the buffalo chips and other rogue nations, we would win this war on terror in years, not in decades as it will take if they continue fighting among themselves.

No bed of roses, but probably not. Rutherford B. Hayes and Warren G. Harding were both reputedly corrupt, and notoriously so. If recollection serves me, Benjamin Harrison wasn't all too pure. And Andrew Jackson, great as he was, was the inventor of the maxim, "To the victor go the spoils." Not to mention Tricky Dick Nixon.

[ADDED] Scarlett - that is SUCH a stupid answer, and so hostile.

Not in the least. If you think this is a currupt government just flip through the history books and really pay attention to what it says. Think about it, Kennedy with mob connections, Carter giving in to terriorism, Roosevelt invading Mexico and Russia in secret wars. Theres a lot worse out there, be lucky that today's government is kept in check by freedom of information via internet and media.

Take a look at the presidents Harding and Grant. Stiff rivals for most corrupt president, but Mr. Bush is trying hard to gain that honor.

Alias Smith and whatever, it isn't half as hostile as what the libs say about Bush and the conservatives.
