Does race have anything to do with this? What if the Gay actor called Washington the N word? What would the public have said then?

Actually, I believe the both sought counselling.

I am sure they both apologized.

The way I see it Richards needed counsellin. His coments were insults hurled at people so as to hurt them.

Washington on the other hand never intended to hurt anyone. He was just upset that Knight was slowing up the shooting schedule and they were scheduled to work that day together most of the day. Washingto never sought out Knight and called him names the way Richards labelled those hecklers that night.

I think Washington is getting a raw deal here.

Counseling for what ?

Actually I don't feel either are about race......so don't start pulling that race card BS.

Both are in the public eye and should refrain from giving their opinions. But that does not mean Washington needs to accept or change his beliefs on homosexuality. Nor do I think homosexuals should be so blatant in showing off their sexuality.

Kramer is a comedian who has probably dealt with hearing the "N" word from other comedians and in his rage, talked as such. Did he also use the "f" word? If this word needs to become obsolete it needs to be stopped being used by all, even black comedians or in their usage amongst themselves as a greeting. I fully understand when I heard Oprah bring this up on a show. Maybe with her ability to be seen by millions across the world, that her message will come through.

Until recently, I never knew the word "oriental" was a racial slur to Asians. I have become literate and now refrain from using it.

Yes I believe that race is an issue. Kramer apologized and the next day everything fine. But Isaiah Washington is just being bashed even after he has apologized. It makes me sick. He made a mistake let him alone already.

A factor to think about...Washington was working for a syndicated series...Kramer was working independently--not for a second saying that he was right in anyway. I detest anyone calling someone the 'n' word.

If Washington hadn`t brought it up again on the Emmy`s it would already be a non issue.

"Kramer" isn't on a TV show.

Washington just went to counseling so he wouldn't lose his job.

Not racial...it's "celebrity politics."
