Mayan's end of the world prediction?

Question

Did they predict the world will end on Dec 21 or Dec 23 2012 because I have heard both ways.

I also need some reliable sources proving that.

I have heard that it's Dec 23....which would be really freaky, because that will be my 50th birthday. What a way to celebrate with a bang !!

Everyone knows the Mayans had a specific date for the end of the world. What most people fail to realize, however, is that the Mayans also had a date for the beginning of the world. This date was, as far as I remember, sometime around 3000 BCE Now, we have documentary evidence demonstrating that the world existed prior to this time. That being said, if the Mayans got the date of the beginning of the world wrong, why should we believe they were right about the end?

it was not that the world would end it is the end of the mayan calender. Not a prediction that the world would end. If anything they are talking about a new beginning. but we will see!

And it's not really going to be the end of the world, but, the beginning of an end to the previous age.

There's no EXACT date, but their calendar changes, not ends, around 12/21/12.

This is when the earth, and those who are ready, will rise to 4th density.
