Florida right now is the most talented and most impressive team in the country (and this is coming from a Kentucky fan, who despises them). They're the unanimous #1 team in the nation according to the AP and they're dominating the #1 conference in the nation (the SEC is #1 according to RPI ratings). They've had some close games recently to Alabama and Kentucky, but this was an Alabama team with nothing to lose and a Kentucky team on the rise (and also their SEC rival).

Plus they're the defending champs, so everybody is going to bring their A-game against them. They've had the bulls-eye on their back all season and have shown they can win big AND come back when they're down, on the road in the SEC no less. They have the best starting five in the nation, hands down.

They're 23-2 and even though Wisconsin is 25-2, Wisconsin beat Ohio State by 3. Florida beat them by 20. Wisconsin's out of conference schedule consisted of Pittsburg (who just got killed by a Louisville team that Kentucky beat at Louisville. And Florida beat Kentucky. Sounds like a lot, but that's what the RPI is all about) and Marquette. Florida played Kansas and Ohio State (whom, once again they beat by 20). Also Wisconsin plays in the Big Ten which is ranked 4th in the RPI. Like I said before, Florida plays in the SEC which is ranked 1st in the RPI.

Oh and did I mention that more then half of their starting 5 could've jumped ship for the NBA last year but decided to stay? I may hate them, but I have to respect them for their talent and the fact that they are undoubtedly THE #1 team in the nation.

The numbers don't lie ladies and gentlemen.

i wager Florida felt they needed more beneficial than one exhibition recreation this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days...they must be ashamed for taking area in 2 pigeons in a row! How do they take any delight in beating up on communities that do not have any probability of prevailing? in reality, i don't understand why college football even helps mismatches like this to be scheduled each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Any crew ranked in the right 25 ought to in trouble-free terms be allowed to play different branch a million communities. regardless of in the adventure that they are in trouble-free terms allowed to play different branch a million communities, they could nonetheless discover some slug communities to conquer up on...they are going to easily ought to look a touch harder to discover them.

One of their losses was to Kansas... the other we had 2 starters out against FSU.

Last year we started the year 78th and finished as the champs. We have the same but more experienced team back this year. Alabama played us well, but we shot terribly. Who else can maintain composure and come back like that? Thats the team I want, the one that can come from behind.

Look what happened in the football championship... Ohio State fell behind and didn't know how to play from behind. I like our repeat chances in the final four this year.

Yes, they deserve to be #1.

And Wisconsin's 25-2 is gaudy, but doesn't mean much as they really haven't beaten anyone besides Ohio State and Pitt in Madison and Marquette in Milwaukee. The rest of their schedule is extremely unimpressive.

I would say Florida deserves to be #1 because they are the best team but can someone please tell me why Wisconsin doesn't get considered even though they have the best record in college basketball at 25-2.
