I have no clue what emo is and all my friends are talking about going emo.

emo (emotional) basically is when ppl hate their life, wear dark clothing, talk about dark things, cut their wrists (b.c it 'takes away the emotional pain')

Emo--think New Wave style (cigarette pants, weird greasy hair, lots of accessories), The Cure-ish makeup (if they wear it) and the goth tendency to live life with their hand stapled to their forehead in a 'Woe Is Me' fashion. All done while listening to whiny alternative rock and 'sensitive' music. Cutting is not necessary, but a certain amount of self-centeredness is required--not to mention a really good skincare regimen to prevent acne from all that greasy hair.

Emo is a fad. The clothing is much like the clothes that "punk rockers" wear.

"Emo" is a kind of modern fad that involves histrionics and general overemphasis of pain. It something to stay away from if you are to avoid falling into depression.

shopping at hot topic, all depressive, thinking about how cruel life is and talking smack about suicide, but they are just pretending to be cool, they dont actually kill themselves, bunch of pssies.
