How often a couple has sex is not definitive over whether or not their marriage is in trouble.

That fact that you are concerned that it may be tells me that it is.

I suggest broaching this question with your husband and suggest counselling to get that fire back.

RE:
Is my marriage in trouble if my husband and I are only having sex every 6-7 weeks.?

I would say yes, because me and my husband went through something like that' but first just sat back and think how your sex live uses to be when you all got together, if it's a big difference, I feel you should ask him, why or what's wrong, don't wait to long because the longer you wait the worst it will get. Sex is a very big part of the marriage, and if you'll willing and your spouse is not, there is a problem.

Depends, are you just busy or not into having sex with each other anymore. How long have you been married? I wouldn't say your marriage is doomed, but if you used to have sex a lot more often the lack of may be a underlying symptom to a larger problem. If I may be so bold as to offer a suggestion talk to each other about things you like about having sex together and things you'd like to see improve or even that you've always wanted to try. Just keep the lines of communication open and be honest, yet tactful. Good luck!

Your marriage is not in trouble unless one of you are not satisfied with each other. In other words, if you two are communicating well and discussed this matter honestly with each other and decided to have sex every 6-7 weeks, your marriage is just perfect.

If there is no understanding and lack of honest communication and one partner is wanting more often, but the other is not demanding or unwilling to have sex as often as the partner wants then you sould think about it twice.

Not necessarily................My mom and dad don't have sex anymore. Of course they're in their 80's.

Sex tends to lose its appeal over a period of time. Usually around mid 30's to early 40's. Its important to know that a man peak is in his early 20's and a women in her early 30's. both run for about 15 years before they began to fall off. So by age 50 you'd be lucky if you are still sharing the same bed. (wow!)

p.s. Now, how old are you?

No, I wouldn't think so. Because your basing marital problems on how often your having sex. How often your having sex isn't a gauge of how your marriage is doing. You can be intimate without having sex. But if your wondering if your having problems in your marriage, why not sit down with your partner and talk about it, and if there is anything that is bothering you, or your partner, sit down and talk about it.

Not if 6-7 weeks is OK with both of you. Otherwise, step it up! You know there are many things that effect your sex life, like stress, money, kids, etc.

Talk to your spouse about it.
