There is a mode of transportation where one travels in a specially designed container on a freighter ship. This is legal. As far as concealing yourself in a package and mislabelling it, then no. As far as mailing live animals, there is special protocol to do so. To call yourself an animal and ship yourself would be legal under those circumstances, but knowing how crazy people can be, someone has undoubtably tried it and now it is illegal.

Knowing the efficiency of the postal service, should you decide to post yourself somewhere, you would probably be lost in transit and sit in a warehouse for several weeks before being delivered.
Naturally by that time you would have starved to death and not be much use to whomever was supposed to receive you.
You might get away with it by train however if you were creative. Every once in a while I hear a story of the classic hobo hitching a train ride. Usually the UPRR guys catch them, but every now and then one slips through...not in a box though.

Legal? Maybe.
Wise? Definitely not.
Try to find a copy of the Velvet Undergraound song called, I think, "the gift" about a certain Waldo Jeffers and his escapade with mailing himself to a girlfriend.....

It is not legal in the USA to mail a live animal. You, as a human, are considered a live animal. People have actually tried to do that! As for other countries, I suspect they have the same requirements.

There was a case a few years ago a homesick young man in NYC crated himself up & air shipped himself to his parents home in Texas. I believe he was caught at DFW airport & he was in SERIOUS trouble. Home Land Security people got involved & when they finally cut him loose he had to answer to an angry judge.
NOT A GOOD IDEA!

It is illegal and dangerous. If you are mailing yourself to the other side of the country and end up on a cargo jet, you will die form exposure.

Well, if you can keep still for this long.
That's funny, you should just try it. Tell me how it went, then I will give it a shot. I should have thought of that. I could have saved so much money on airline tickets.
