I am 4 days late, am I am usually regular. I have not been checking my temp regularly, so I do not know when I ovulated. I took a test this afternoon and got a negative, but no sign of a period. My breasts are a little tender, but I thought it was because I am due. My cervix is high and soft. I have been looking into it all over the internet and it seems like I am pregnant, but did I take a test too soon?
Please only serious responses, I am not here to play games and be rude.

Oh yeah, we have been trying since September of last year and have not been charting because it was putting pressure on me, and this way it will happen with less stress. :)

I am regular. AND I haven't been stressing or even thinking about it these past couple of weeks because I have been really busy. That is another reason I am thinking that I might be pregnant. I just started thinking about it once I was 2 days late.

I would say wait a week and try the test again. Your symptoms also sound like PMS, though.

O.K i could tell you what you want to hear and say you could be pregnant or I could analyze all of your symptoms for you which I am going to do anyways
4 days late - maybe you are late because you did say you have been super busy these last few weeks so maybe you have been stressed which could cause your period to be late, also every so often periods do tend to change for example i used to have a perfect 28 day cycle I could set my watch as to when I was going to start and bam out of no where it changed on me and now it is a 33-35 day cycle.
Taking a test this afternoon and it coming out negative when you are 4 days late is a pretty good indicator of one of two things either there isn't enough HCG in your system to generate a positive result or that you are truly not pregnant. Sometimes when we want something bad enough ( IE pregnancy ) our mind tends to play games with us ( mean I know ) and make us feel as if we are pregnant. which could be why you are feeling the breast tenderness.
As for your cervix being high and soft there is no way of you knowing this early if you are pregnant but feeling your cervix, checking cervical position is really only good for looking for ovulation other than that only a trained medical professional knows what to look for. I have also thought many of times that I could be pregnant and a lot of things over the internet said there is a high chance I am pregnant and I wasn't.
Your best bet is to go to the doctor and request a blood test to see if you are or not pregnant that is really the only true way to tell it isn't a 100% but it is really close to it.
As for the feeling hot, it happens to me sometimes and I am not pregnant right now, for example today earlier I was freezing so I put on a light sweater and not even two minutes later I was sweating. It is really weird I blame it on the weather lol.

Sure sounds like you are pregnant...The test may have come out neg due to low hcg levels.....take another test using first morning urine as it is the most concentrated...if it is still neg and no period wait a few days and take another...after that I would go to the dr for a blood test....Good Luck! ~~~~

I would say test again with an early test and if you still dont get your period then go to the dr and get a blood test. Some women never test + on a HPT. Good Luck!!!

It sounds like pregnancy, so just wait a week or so and take another test. Congrats and good luck. Coincidence we have also been trying since October of last year, but not yet.

I believe those symptomps happens because of your worries too much. The test is almost accurate 99% but you can try it again for the next two weeks for sure.

wait a couple more days and take another test... or go to your doctor and get a blood test
