Okay, I am new to voting, and I'm wondering what the best way is to figure out who all of the candidates are, and what there basic beliefs are. I know that there aren't any candidates yet, but who are the ones who might run, and what are there basic beliefs like on the war, abortion, gay marriage, health care, and all of the other big topics. Also, is there a website that I can use where it doesn't overwhelm me with information about people, but just gives me there basic beliefs?

The best way is to go to the candidates sites. But be careful this way, some people, Clinton for example, have changed there stance on the War in Iraq, so doing some background infomation also helps.

To get your feet wet and your ears and eyes dry, start at the local level first! Look and see if there is any special elections, other wise study politics on line at www.history.com You will find tutorials in audio/visual as well as many other aspects like some of the candidates you know that have their hat in the ring? Like Hillary Rodham Clinton, you can search there and find her history?
Obama I think he is in there and Edwards, and John McCain is there as the Senator of Arizona
