Depends on the type of map. Topography maps use contour lines and color gradients to denote height. They could be grey, green, or even pink on maps.

If a map is using color to differentiate between mountains and flatter land, the mountains will just be a slightly darker shade of whatever the land's color is.

The tops of mountains are usually white denoting no vegetation and/or snow.

as far as i know i thinks its yellow to brown depends on the height of the mountain
